ESL Pro Tour: CS:GO tournament series with 5 million dollar prize money

Next year the ESL Pro Tour starts with 20 tournaments worldwide. With five million dollars in prize money, the CS:GO tournament series with the highest prize money to date will be created.
Two Masters will be the highlight: the ESL One Cologne 2020 and the Intel Extreme Masters IEM Katowice 2020. In Germany, the DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 will also be part of the series.
The Electronic Sports League (ESL) and the organizer Dreamhack will organize the ESL Pro Tour next year. According to the organizer, the ESL Pro Tour comprises a total of more than 20 tournaments on five continents. The series will be combined in tournaments and leagues.
According to the ESL, every team worldwide has the opportunity to qualify for and participate in one of the ESL Pro Tour competitions. As early as 2019, the first tournaments will be played which will count towards participation in the Masters.
The more than twenty competitions will be held in new stages: Open, Challenger and Masters. These modes qualify the participants each year for the two Masters – the IEM Katowice in Poland and the ESL One Cologne in Germany.
Furthermore, the DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 and the DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 in the USA 2020 have been confirmed as part of the tournament series. Further details of the ESL Pro Tour will be released on September 28th.
