What an incredible match we had last night. It was one of the best “Best of Fives” for a long time. For all of you who missed it, we have summarized it here again.
An unbelievable encounter
The game between G2 eSports and FNATIC had everything an exciting League of Legends game needs. In the first game G2 looked very inattentive, FNATIC took advantage of that and secured the one to zero. FNATIC was also able to take over the second game and thus created a good starting position for itself. In the third game, G2 eSports seemed to be changed. Suddenly their strategy worked, and they slowly found their usual strength. Although FNATIC would have been able to win the game, G2 could win their first match. From then on, things took their course.
G2 became stronger by the minute and could win the fourth game. Nothing stood in the way of a comeback at this moment. It was incredibly exciting, and at the score of two to two, the tension increased again. In the last game, G2 eSports turned up again and won with the most dominant performance of this split. Already after about 14 (!!!) minutes, the first inhibitor was history. After 20 minutes and a lead of more than 12,000 gold G2 put an end to the whole thing and went straight into the final. FNATIC may try next week against Schalke 04 also to move into the final and to demand revenge against G2 eSports.
Nevertheless hard draw for Schalke 04
With FNATIC, you meet the strongest possible opponent in the gap of the summoners. Behind G2 eSports FNATIC is the best team of the LEC. Since G2 has already won against FNATIC, G2 is one step further and is waiting for Schalke or FNATIC again in the final. The chances for a German finalist are put to the test again in this game, but she lives.
Yesterday’s game proved that FNATIC is defeatable. Schalke 04 will try everything to make her dream come true. The three teams can already book at least the trip to Athens.
