Leon Tsoukernik, known as King’s Resort boss and a regular on the world’s most expensive poker rounds, has purchased the Casino Atrium at the Hilton Hotel Prague.
Shortly before the start of ETP Prague, which will be held there from December 6 – 17, he dropped the bomb in an exclusive interview with PokerStars blog.
The casino had already been offered to him several times before, but he refused due to the distance to his domicile at Rozvadov. Now however some changed and Leon to a reorientation caused itself. His children attend an international school in Prague meanwhile, and thus the family father spends more time inevitably under the week in Prague.
Since Leon didn’t have much business to do in Prague and was bored, he decided to buy the Casino Atrium. A phone call, a 5-hour conversation and the deal were done.
Immediately after the purchase, Leon Tsoukernik embarked on the first restructuring. During the upcoming EPT, the cash games will be held in Euro for the first time. Also, staff from King’s headquarters will be on-site to help with the organisation. This is expected to bring more flexibility and action.
Soon, the casino will be completely overhauled, and its appearance and comfort will be adapted to the King’s Resort standard.
Leon Tsoukernik generally has very good memories of the EPT Prague in the Casino Atrium, as in 2016 he won the €50,000 Super High Roller Event there for €741,000.
