Belgian Poker Challenge announces Namur Festival

The Belgian Poker Challenge (BPC) 2019 will take place from Friday, November 29th to Sunday, December 8th, 2019 at the Grand Casino de Namur in Namur, Belgium.

During the series, players will compete for the Belgian title and a portion of the guaranteed prize pool of €500,000 to be won in the Main Event.

While all the guarantees add up to an amazing €750,000, the expectations of the BPC organizers are more courageous: they believe the prize pool will exceed the tens of millions and the BPC winners will be even happier this year than they were in 2018.

The Event is one of the most important in the region, and to meet fans’ desire to watch their friends play, the BPC will be streamed live on various platforms.

As usual with BPC events, the key to their success is an attractive tournament calendar with interesting opportunities and many options to play throughout the festival.

This year’s top events include the 100,000 Euro GTD. High Roller (buy-in: €2,200) and €500,000 GTD. Main Event with a buy-in of 1,100 €.
The Main Event offers 50-minute levels on the first day, 70-minute levels on the second day and 90-minute levels during the last three tournament days.

For those who find the buy-in too high, Casino Namur offers plenty of action to win a seat and play for the 500,000 Euro guarantee at a fraction of the cost.

With 19 live satellites on the tournament schedule, all you have to do is make your way to the casino to win a seat at the Main Event.

The Belgian Poker Challenge 2019 also brings some new events to the tournament calendar. Like the €250 Buy-in Warm-Up event from November 29th to 30th and a €250 Buy-in Short Deck on December 7th.

Marcin Puczylowski defends the title

Last year the Pole Marcin Puczylowski won the title of the Main Event and prize money of 126.252 Euro after a short heads-up against the Frenchman Donato Sparavilla (79.208 Euro).

In December 2018, the calendar also included the High Roller Tournament of the series with 82 participants. In the heads-up were the French Stéphane Nicot and Parham Ahoor, who agreed on a deal that earned each player 80,000 euros.
