The start of the FIFA eNations Cup yesterday marked the beginning of a new era in eFootball, explains STARK eSports GmbH in a recent press release. The eSport Service Provider, as it calls itself, is now a partner of the German Football Association (DFB).
For the first time, 20 nations from all over the world will compete against each other in eFootball and play out digital world championship titles. Germany will also be represented with the two new German Virtual Bundesliga Club Champions and STARK talents Michael ‘MegaBit’ Bittner (World Ranking 3) and Mohammed ‘MoAuba’ Harkous (8).
Already since a few weeks
In preparing for and participating in the FIFA eNations Cup, the DFB draws on STARK’s know-how and experience, which has accompanied the commitment strategically and operationally for several weeks.
STARK and the DFB joined forces independently of the announcement of their participation in the FIFA eNations Cup. The cooperation already took place in support of the development of a long-term concept for the promotion of eFootball in Germany. “As a strategic partner of DFB GmbH, we can implement our common visions,” says STARK founder and Managing Director Dennis Andreas Nirtl.
The DFB particularly appreciates the “high level of professionalism and comprehensive know-how of the agency in a completely new field of business for the DFB”, emphasizes Denni Strich, Managing Director of DFB GmbH. The entry of the DFB is an important milestone in the history of German eSports.
“We are delighted to be able to play a part in shaping this history to some extent and to contribute our part to this impressive development,” commented Nirtl.

Dennis Andreas Nirtl, Managing Director of STARK Esports GmbH:
“The DFB’s commitment is an important milestone in the history of German Esports and represents an important step in the professionalization of eFootball. As a strategic partner of the DFB GmbH, we can implement our common visions and create exciting offers for the amateur and professional sector”.
