Europe dismantle the USA at LoL tournament, trolls them in the process

In League of Legends, there is a show fight. In the Rift Rivals, the best teams from North America compete against the best teams from Europe. And the result is quite a cat’s-jammer on the part of the USA. The result still looks very close. The player Zven from Team Solo Mid speaks of an eye-opener.
These teams are in the Rift Rivals 2019:
-For the USA and the LCS Team Liquid, Team Solo Mid and Cloud 9 are at the start.
-Fnatic, G2 eSports and Origen compete for Europe and the LEC
This should be the crème de la crème of LoL outside Asia. With Cloud 9, Fnatic and G2 eSports, 3 of the 4 semi-finalists from Worlds 2018 will be in the tournament. At the end of 2018 at the LoL World Championships Europe and North America shocked the rest of the world with a strong performance.
How do the Rift Rivals run? At the moment it is 6:3 for Europe. But the result is clearer than it seems. Professionals and fans are quite humbled on the North American side.
League Fun vs. League Tryhard
That’s what’s bothering people: As the player Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen from the US team TSM says, the tournament is extremely one-sided in favour of the Europeans.
Apparently, the US team are playing at full power, while the European players are making nonsense, trolling with the picks and generally playing around rather than really playing for victory. They are far superior.
It feels really bad to be destroyed by teams like Origen and G2, says Zven. But now that opens your eyes to how bad you are.
The games that Liquid and Cloud 9 win – the opponents would have just babbled about.
That’s how it’s discussed on Reddit: There you see it similar (via Reddit). Before the tournament, many fans of the NA league probably thought that teams like TSM are superior to Europeans, but that’s just embarrassing what you see there.
The US teams urgently need to understand that the “old Korean” way of playing LoL no longer works, one user says.
NA is seen here as a grim Tryhard region, while the EU seems to have a lot of fun at the tournament.
Power shifts in the League of Legends
That’s the situation at League of Legends: There seems to be a shift in the balance of power, this already became clear at the Worlds 2018.
The old, cautious style that the Koreans cultivated and the US teams imitated for a long time doesn’t seem to work anymore.
The Korean LoL style is based on farming cleanly, playing conservatively, acting cautiously, gaining a small advantage and then methodically beating the opponent indecisive team fights with tactically clever play.
The new style cultivated in China and Europe is aimed at a riot. It’s about early ganks, about spectacular plays, about an advantage that grows rapidly and leads to you almost rolling over your opponent.
It’s more of a hyper-aggressive LoL, as cultivated in the “Solo Queue” – but a style that works.
Many LoL games are now decided in the first 15 minutes by attack-like tactics.
