The second day of 2019 The Big Wrap took place yesterday at King’s Casino and Resort in Rozvadov. As expected, the €1,000,000 guaranteed tournament attracted more players to the €2,350 Pot-Limit Omaha Main Event this time.
After 128 entries on day 1a, this time there were 221 entries with 165 players and 56 re-entries. With the 20 entries from online day 1 on partypoker, we now have a total field of 369 entries. 155 of them return and start the next day today at 2 pm. The blinds start at 2,000/4,000.
After 12 levels of 40 minutes each, a familiar face of the poker scene, Besim Hot, leads the field. He surpassed Veton Raka with a stack of 720,000, followed by Raka with 702,000, Shahin Dezfoulli (576,000), Simone Fumagalli (573,000) and Katerminka (558,000). It wasn’t easy for Hot today, but he missed his first Bullet before he fought his way to the front at the end.
Only the top 5 packed more than half a million chips, among the survivors are Sameer Khurana (430,000), Paresh Doshi (385,000), Maksim Shuts (380,000), Maksim Pisarenko (310,000), Tomasz Kozub (277,000), Jan-Peter Jachtmann (237,000), Marek Blasko (230,000) and partypoker Ambassador Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier (144,000).
Among those who needed more than one bullet were WSOPE PLO bracelet winners Lukas Zaskodny (244,000), Jonas Kronwitter (203,000), Alexander Norden (173,000), Gisle Olsen (164,000) and Hokyiu Lee (85,000).
Less lucky were Andrej Desset, Mick Heder, Marek Tatar, Karel Kovarik, Alexandre Viard, Jesper Hougaard and Petr Targa. The Late Registration is still going on for two levels today, and we may get to see one or the other.
At the end of the night, many players tried to make chips again to start day 2 with a good stack. At the end, there were still 95, day 1b survivors. They meet the 52 players from day 1a.
The Talk and Gisle Olsen have qualified twice and go with the higher stack into the day.
