Phil Hellmuth played his way into the spotlight at the 1989 WSOP. At the age of 24, the American was the youngest Main Event winner of all time. Although this record has been broken in the meantime, The Poker Brat really doesn’t lack best performances.

With 15 bracelets, the American is the undisputed number 1. Hellmuth also leads in the Cashes (137), Runner-Up (10) and “Most 4th to 9th Finishes” (35) categories.

Only in the prize money ranking is Hellmuth only able to finish 5th. However, it has to be noted that Antonio Esfandiari, Dan Colman as well as Jonathan Duhamel are better placed due to some successes.

This year, Phil Hellmuth wants to get three bracelets and further extend the best marks. The 54-year-old remains grateful, however, at least to what extent his great ego allows him to do so.
