The New York Yankees can probably forget their title dreams. The record champions also lose their fourth match against Houston in the MLB playoffs.

Record champions New York Yankees are on the verge of losing out in the Major League Baseball (MLB) playoffs.

The 27-time champion lost the fourth game of the best-of-seven series against Houston Astros 3:8 and is 1:3 behind.

It was the second defeat in a row in the domestic Yankees Stadium. Game five retakes place in New York on Saturday (1.08 a.m. CEST) – games six and seven would take place in Houston.

The fourth game had been postponed from Thursday (CEST) to Friday due to a bad weather forecast. The two teams will determine the World Series opponent of the Washington Nationals, who are in the final for the first time.
