Racing and sports at Neds

Even though Neds offers betting markets for over 25 sports, the main focus of the site is horse racing. There are three racing codes in Australia, and Neds covers each in great detail. Horse racing, harness racing and greyhounds are featured on the site in addition to all the other popular betting sports.

Soccer, or football, is also very prominent on the site. Although not as popular as cricket or rugby league in Australia, it still generates a great deal of betting interest globally. The most bet on league is the Premier League in England. The A-League is the main domestic league in Australia. Neds displays the three-way match result market for each fixture with a link to the related markets. There are over 80 betting options.

Rugby league is a big betting sport in Australia and Neds offers an extensive range of fixtures and markets. The National Rugby League (NRL) is the main domestic competition. Neds sports betting displays the match winner market, including overtime for each fixture. It offers a further 70 markets in the categories of winning margin, try scorers, scoring, totals and handicaps. Cricket and rugby union are the other main betting sports in Australia hence on Neds sportsbook.

Neds betting types

Neds provides customers with three types of betting. Ante-post, or futures betting, is available on markets related to the most important leagues and competitions. The sportsbook publishes the odds before the season begins and updates them after each series of matches. Outright betting is available for the A-league, the major competitions in Aussie Rules and league in rugby league and cricket. There is also a great offer for the winners of golf and tennis tournaments.

However, the range of markets is limited, and the live interface offers very little match information. There is no live streaming and visual representation of the progress of the play. Neds does not publish a calendar of upcoming live events either, so there is room for improvement here.

Multi Builder

The option to cash out bets is not available. However, Neds does provide something different in the form of the Multi Builder option. Customers can build multiple bets across sports and competitions. Selections can be quickly added to the bet slip at the current odds. Multi-bets can combine markets in racing and other sports, and the bet can be customised to create the desired multi bet. The Pending Bets tab shows how the selections are performing. But again, the cash out option is not part of the process even though it would be a good addition to the multi-betting.
