European Roulette Review

European Roulette is one of the most enjoyed versions of the game found mostly in the table game selection at online casinos. It is the most popular due to its low house advantage that gives players a much greater chance to earn.

Mathematically, European Roulette is the better option for players and it features a single zero. The layout of the game is much the same as the American version. The colours are the same, and the only visual difference is that it only features a single zero.

If you decide to play European Roulette, you can bet on numbers 1 up to 36 plus the single zero. All the numbers are displayed on red and black segments while the single zero stands out as it is the only number on the green.

The main objective is to place your chips on the number you believe the ball will land. The dealer spins the wheel in one direction and then adds the ball to spin in the opposite direction. If you placed your chips on the number that the ball rests on, you win. The number of participants in roulette differs, although it is generally eight. The croupier calls “no more bets” before he/she spins the wheel. Once bets are closed, you cannot change, remove or add to your bets.

European Roulette Betting Options

Straight-Up bets in European Roulette include all the numbers plus the single zero, and if you win, the payout is 35 to 1. Split bets offer 17 to 1 payouts, and you can place a chip on the line between to numbers to split your bet on both numbers.

Street bets are one of the most popular options and offer payouts of 11 to 1. You place your chips on a row of three numbers, while you bet on four numbers in corner bets that offer payouts of 8 to 1. When you bet on columns, your bet stretches over several numbers, and a win gives you 2 to 1. Other betting options include a bet on dozens, while 1 to 1 payout is offered on odd’s and even’s, red or black and low or high. The high numbers include 19 up to 36, while a bet on low numbers includes 1 up to 18.

The rules slightly differ from one European Roulette to the next. And some of the best options are created by master developers such as Playtech, Microgaming and NetEnt.
