Since Season 1, the Rainbow Six Pro League has undergone a fantastic development. In recent years, Ubisoft’s tactical shooter has established itself in the eSports business and is now one of the most popular shooters in the world alongside Counter-Strike. To make it easier for newcomers to enter the Rainbow Six Pro League, our series introduces you to all the teams in the European professional league. PENTA Sports is the team with probably the most successful Rainbow Six history.
PENTA Sports – The Rainbow Six Victory Veterans
When the Rainbow Six Pro League entered its first season in 2016, the German eSports organisation PENTA Sports was one of the four founding teams and the very first Pro League champion. In the following seasons, PENTA was able to continue its performance and very successfully write Rainbow Six history. After their second Pro League victory in Season 4, they were the first team to defend their Pro League title.
In 2018, one of the biggest roster changes in the history of the R6 professional scene took place. The entire PENTA team, which has been so successful on all Rainbow Six stages in recent years, has been taken over by one of Europe’s best-known eSports organisations: G2 Esports. But since PENTA didn’t want to retire from the Rainbow Six scene, they acquired the entire squad of Mock-it Esport in return, which has since been running under the banner of PENTA.
These pros play for PENTA Sports
ENEMY
Julian ‘ENEMY’ Blin is the team captain of the current PENTA squad and a very experienced player in the Rainbow Six pro scene. Even before the start of the Pro League, he was able to win several Go4R6 tournaments with his former team Aera eSports.
RevaN
The Frenchman Jean ‘RevaN’ Prudenti started just like ‘ENEMY’ at Aera Esports, from where his way via Vitality and Mock-it led him to the PENTA team. He celebrated his greatest success with PENTA at the victory of the major tournament Coupe de France 2018.
Hungry
Lucas ‘Hungry’ Reich is the only German player in the current PENTA team. The 23-year-old Magdeburger became especially known for his aggressive playing style with operators like Zofia and Ying.
SirBoss
With Ferenc ‘SirBoss’ Mérész and his teammate blas, PENTA has the only two Hungarian pros in the Pro League under contract. Together the Magyars enjoy a lot of support from fans from their home country.
blow
Balázs ‘blas’ Kővári is the newest addition to the team. In the winter of 2018, he moved from ENCE Gaming to return to the ranks of PENTA Sports, for which he coached in 2017.
