KIT SC’s eSports team has won second place at the European University eSports Championships in Madrid. The first League of Legends team of the KIT SC around the coaches Alwin Pohl and Tobias Brunke narrowly missed the participation at the World Championships, the International College Cup (ICC), in Hong Kong.
At the University Esports Masters, KIT represented Germany and entered the semi-finals as runners-up in the group with only one defeat but tight games against the Netherlands and Great Britain.
In the semi-finals, the Karlsruhe team defeated their fellow favourites Poland 2-1 but then had to admit defeat on the big stage in the final.
“Everyone is very happy to be the second best university team in Europe, even though we narrowly missed the flight to Hong Kong”.
