The regular LEC Spring Season is over. We’re going to the playoffs. And there G2 has once again put itself in a good position. But the competition is not sleeping.
With 15 wins G2 finishes the ranking in the LEC Spring Split. That’s also where the three defeats are to be endured. So the vice world champion in LoL will go into the playoffs as first place. There Mad Lions from rank 4 are waiting.
G2s pursuers
But the chasing group was in good spirits in this split. Both Fnatic and Origen were only two winners behind the team of Rasmus “Caps” Winther.
But Fnatic still gave away points on the last day of play when they lost to the bottom team Vitality. But Origen also lost to Mad Lions, so they stayed in 2nd and 3rd place.
Rogue without an online win
Rogue, who is ranked sixth, have been waiting for a win since switching to online matches due to Corona pandemic. Before the last matchday, the team even had a chance to finish fourth, but now they have ended up behind Misfits themselves.
For Schalke and SK Gaming it was a used split. In eighth and ninth place, the two organisations with German roots finish the Regular Season. For the Summer Split, they have to attack again.
The playoffs in the LEC start on Friday with the duel between G2 and Mad Lions at 6:00 pm, Origen and Fnatic play on Saturday at 5:00 pm, and Rogue and Misfits play on Sunday at 5:00 pm. The game will be played at the Best-of-Five.
