After a weak start in the first group phase, BIG wants to go to the main event of the ESL Pro League in CS:GO. The Berliners have to prove themselves against the ninjas in pyjamas.
For BIG, the tenth season of the ESL Pro Leauge (EPL) has not gone very smoothly so far. In the first group phase, the figurehead of the German scene, mousesports, lost 1:2, followed by a 1:2 defeat against FaZe Clan. It was only thanks to a narrow victory against OpTic Gaming that the Berliners were able to save themselves from relegation to third place.
The third-place secured BIG’s participation in the second group phase in London. Eight teams will play for the last chance in the final. The two best teams in each of the two groups of four will buy a ticket to Odense, Denmark, where the final will take place from 3rd to 8th December.
Fire test for tabseN and Co.
In group A the squad around Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz meets G2 Esports, the Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) and North. Against the latter team, BIG will also play the first game on Thursday evening. When the two line-ups last met in October, BIG clearly won the best-of-three 2:0.
