Introduction to Motorbikes Betting

There are two distinct types of motorbikes racing: speedway and Moto GP. Both categories involve the racing of bikes around a circuit. Speedway races involve four riders who race around four laps of an enclosed circuit. Moto GP is akin to Formula 1 in motor racing whereby the riders compete on a street circuit. MotoGP betting appears soon after the previous race on the calendar has taken place. Speedway races are not long enough to offer in-play betting. Points are allocated in each race as follows: 1st – 3; 2nd – 2; 3rd – 1; 4th – 0. Bookmakers offer point’s handicaps on league fixtures. The leading point’s winner in a team event is another popular speedway bet.

The most bet on MotoGP market is the race winner. Customers can also bet on the fastest qualifier and the manufacturer of the winner. Betting on the Moto GP champion is a popular season-long betting option. There are betting markets for the champion rider and manufacturer. Bettors can also place wagers on the number of wins for specific riders.
