What is an Imperfect Deck ?

When one or more cards in a deck is damaged, it is called an imperfect deck. The term is used when a deck of cards has been manipulated by a cheater or there could also be a manufacturing error in a particular deck. These erros can include duplicated cards, inconsistent patterns and edges that aren’t shaped correctly.

54 standard cards are included in a typical deck. Of those 54 cards, 52 are made up of the suits; spade, heart, diamond and club. The other two are jokers. In a standard deck, each side of each card is printed on. One side has the suit and colour of the card. The other side has some type of branding. The back of each card in a standard deck all look alike. The reason for this is so that players can’t cheat.
