What Is Asian Handicap ?

One of the peculiar methods of betting particularly in football is  Asian Handicap. In this handicap system of gambling, two teams are involved, the stronger side is expected to win with more goals over the weaker team in other to have a successful punter. Professional punters use this market to reduce the number of outcomes to two which are not of the same ideology with the traditional match betting system that has the draw in play.

Asian Handicap Explained

In the Asian Handicap system of betting, the team with the highest number of goals emerges as the winner. It is a system where two teams are involved thereby giving the side with better goals a handicap rating. As a betting system, this system is also applicable to casino games and has its own rules too.

Generally, the Asian Handicap is written in decimal form, and the favourite in the match will automatically become the team’s judge and in that sense the punter will now decide whether they think the favourite will be able to cover the handicap or if the outsider is in the best position to stay within the mark.

Asian Handicap comes in two forms: the whole handicap and two-way handicap.

The whole handicap on its own gives a player a line that allows the player either win or lose in full or gain a push in the process where the handicap completes a level.

A better understanding of how the Whole Handicap works:

The game gets complicated in cases of two-way handicaps. Generally, as we all know, the handicap written is always written in decimal form which is either written as .25 or .75. In this case, there are now two bets on the ground with one stake and in the usual way of the game; the stake has to be split into two. Either side of the handicaps gets half of the divided stakes.
