Brunson will return to Villanova for his junior season, Joe Juliano of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Brunson took over as the team's starting point guard last year and ended up having a breakout season, averaging 14.7 points and 4.1 assists while shooting an impressive 54 percent from the field. Brunson will return as arguably Villanova's best player and will likely take on a heavier offensive burden with the departure of both Josh Hart and Kris Jenkins.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Brunson scored all 11 of his points in the second half during the loss to Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday. He added two rebounds and two steals, but only had one assist.

Brunson used his Andre Miller-like body and hesitation moves to bull his way to the basket. He rallied back from a very quiet first half, but it wasn't quite enough against the feisty Badgers. The guard stands to be the focal point of the Wildcat offense next season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Brunson scored 14 points (7-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt) with five rebounds and three assists during the win over Mount St. Mary's on Thursday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Brunson continues to score efficiently in the postseason. Through the Big East Tournament and now one game of the Big Dance, the sophomore guard is converting 60.5 percent from the field while averaging 14.5 points over that span. He will need to continue to attack the basket against Wisconsin on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Brunson provided 17 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT) and five assists in the win over Creighton in the Big East final on Saturday.

Brunson averaged 14.7 points on 59.3 percent from the field in the three wins during the Big East Tournament. The Wildcats look primed to make a long run into March and have only lost once since Jan. 29. Over his last nine games, Brunson has averaged 16.8 points and 5.7 assists.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Brunson scored 17 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3PT, 8-8 FT), in addition to four rebounds and two assists across 26 minutes in Saturday's victory over Georgetown.

The strides Jaylen Brunson has made from his freshman to sophomore campaigns are truly astounding. The guard is currently averaging 14.7 PPG, though the stat that stands out is his 54.1 percent field goal percentage. Surrounded by talented wings, Brunson has learned to play within himself and take what the defense is willing to give. Brunson's success this season has sparked this Villanova team who many believed would take significant steps back after losing key starters from last years championship roster.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Brunson had a game-high 24 points (9-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's loss to Butler.

Brunson scored at least 20 points for the sixth time this season and for the second game in a row, although it wouldn't be enough for Villanova as they lost to Butler for the second time this year. The sophomore has been a big contributor for the Wildcats this season, especially as of late, averaging 21.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.0 rebounds over the last three games.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Brunson tallied 22 points (7-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT) and a career-high 10 assists in the win over Seton Hall on Saturday.

The Pirate guards are known for their excellent offense, but they had no answer for the 6-3 sophomore on Saturday. Brunson scored at least 20 points for the fifth time and has helped the Wildcats win seven straight games. In the winning streak, the guard has averaged 16.0 points and 5.1 assists.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Brunson led Villanova with 18 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 8-9 FT) and added four rebounds, four assists, and three steals in the over DePaul on Monday.

Brunson has been a major contributor to what many consider to be the best team in the country. The 6-3 sophomore is putting up 15.5 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 32.8 minutes per game while shooting 56 percent from the field, 86 percent from the free-throw line and 36 percent from long range. Brunson will look to stay hot when Villanova travels to take on Seton Hall on Saturday.
